How to get married

You must lodge a Notice of Intended Marriage with a Celebrant at least ONE MONTH before your wedding date. Some exceptions apply but they are very strict (examples: deployment in armed forces or terminal illness).

Do not Google the form! I will send you a link to complete your information and send you a form ready to sign so it is quick and easy.

No matter how you want to get married you have to do this step - even if you go to the Registry Office. So why not make it easier and get your local Celebrant to marry you wherever you want?!

Your signatures must be witnessed by your Celebrant or another authorised person.

I can sign Notices over video call if you are in Australia.

A Notice can be lodged by one person and the other person can sign it later.

You need to show ID which can be your passport or your drivers licence & birth certificate.

If you have been legally married before, I need to see your Divorce Order or Death Certificate of previous partner.

You can lodge a Notice even if your divorce is not finalised.

I can witness your signatures and lodge your Notice even if I am not the Celebrant who is marrying you. I can transfer your Notice to another Authorised Marriage Celebrant.

A non-refundable lodgement fee of $275 is required to lodge your Notice and book a wedding date with me (if applicable).

If you require a Visa Letter, please let me know. It is included in the Notice Lodgement Fee.

I send you a Q&A to share all the wonderful events in your love story so far, what you love about each other and what matters most to you about your wedding. Your ceremony is completely unique to you.

We'll have a planning session to go over all the options for what you want to include in your marriage ceremony.

For Epic Lovedays, your $275 progress payment is due two months before.

If you booked a full service (Epic Loveday) ceremony package, we'll pick a date for your rehearsal or final planning meeting. For Lowkey Lovedays and Legal Lovedays, we'll have a Week of Wedding Video Call.

I'll send you a draft ceremony and help you write your vows.

We'll go over all the details so it's perfect including:

• Music selections;
• Wedding Party and VIP details;
• What you want me to wear; and 
• More!

Your final balance is due one month before.

I will arrive at your ceremony location 45 minutes before. If we have not already done so, I will see you both before the ceremony to sign the Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marriage.

I'll set up my equipment and welcome your guests then give you a ceremony you will never forget!

I stay for around 30 minutes after your ceremony to play music during congratulations and assist with photos if you wish.

You can book me to stay as your Cocktail Hour Host or Reception MC for an even more fun and stress free experience!

We will sign your Marriage Certificates with two witnesses either during or after your ceremony.

If you are eloping in secret and need two witnesses, I can arrange these for $50 cash to each witness.

I will send all your marriage documents to the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages within 3 days. The Registry takes 7-14 days to complete your registration and I will let you know when you can apply for your legal marriage certificate. I provide you with a Name Change Guide (it is optional to change your name).
